Davao del Sur
Davao del Sur is a province of the Philippines located in the Davao Region (Region XI) of Mindanao. Covering 2,163.98 square kilometers, it consists of 9 municipalities, 1 component city, and 232 barangays, with Digos City as its capital. Known as the 'Land of Sweet Mangoes,' it is home to Mount Apo, the highest peak in the Philippines, which attracts climbers and nature enthusiasts.
HISTORY
Davao del Sur was originally part of the larger undivided Davao province. On May 8, 1967, Republic Act No. 4867 divided the old province into Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, and Davao del Sur. In 2013, Davao Occidental was created from its southern municipalities. The province is home to indigenous groups such as the Bagobo, B’laan, and Tagakaulo, and has developed into an agricultural hub and cultural gateway in Mindanao.

Agricultural and Fisheries Production (2018–2023)
Between 2018 and 2023, crop production fluctuated, starting at 27,047 million pesos and peaking at 35,611 million pesos in 2023.
